Tonite's crowd featured many more Juniors & Seniors compared to previoous dances plus a fairly large group from the Blue Mt School,District and the Northern Area Schools North Schuylkill,SVHS,Mahanoy City,etc.This was another very lively nite of dancing and fun for all. Tonite also feature a dance contest for the first time with contestants doing their thing in a semi circle with the Neon Light show as a back drop.Winners featured three males & two females. They were each given a Dj ray Tee Shirt and their pictures will be posted at the top of the JFK Splash Party page permanently.Next week will feature the end of season and back to school dance.Free party hats and glow sticks will be available. Another dance contest will be conducted with a different format. Several judges will monitor all dancers,"not contestants",and will select certain individuals that stand out.These people will then be paired up and will dance together as a group.All winners will then be selected by the crowd.It will be appreciated to get more participation from the girls. Also last week's winners cannot repeat.
Attention Parents: Your kids are in goods hands @JFK Pool due in part to the excellent job of monitoring by the JFK Pool Staff and the Pottsville City Police.Also versions of Rap & Hip Hop music being played are the Radio Edited versions which means there are no bad lyrics.The pictures on this site do not tell the complete story.Without sound you cannot appreciate the level of excitement that is being experienced by these kids.These kids are totally high on life,well behaved and having the time of their life. My congratulations and thanks to all the parents for the fine job of raising your kids.
Age limits on this dance are 5th thur 12th grade.This dance is made possible by Schuylkill County Drug and Alcohol Executive Commission & Nancy Schlitzer of the Pottsville City Council.All dances are supervised and policed.Smoking is not permitted on the premises and anyone that leaves the dance will not be allowed to re-enter during that dance. Admission fee is $2.00 for non season pass holders & $1.00 for season pass holders and includes swimming privileges.
