Tue June/21/2005 was a near record of 540 people. Many people had to be turned away due to being out of school for several years.Students having graduated this year may still attend these dances.However there have poeple 21+ years or older trying to attend.Anyone appearing to be over the age limit must should a valid I.D. This dance party featured a very broad age group with students from 7th grade up to many 12th.There was a large percentage of High School students featuring 10th,11th & 12 grades.
There were students here from Pine Grove,Tri Valley,Williams Valley,Minersville,Haven,Blue Mt & DHH Lengel Middle School & Pottsville High School.Nativity & Cardinal Brennan were also in attendance.There were also plenty of Tamaqua,New Philly and Northern Tier schools including Shenandoah,Mahanoy Area & North Schuylkill. Special events included a Hula hoop contest with three winners and various students awarded passes for demonstrating excellent dance moves.
PS: Students throwing thrash in the pool area. Do Not Do this!!!!!Use the Garbage Cans please. Plus you must wear a swim suit when entering the pool.
PS:Parents:this dance is highly supervised by life guards,manager,assistant manager,JFK Staff,& Police.There is no smoking allowed by anyone on the premises,there is an age limit which is 12th grade and the parking lot is watched after the dance is ended.Anyone congregating in the parking lot will be asked by the Police to leave.
