Tue June/07/2005 was a record setting day in two ways.It was the hottest day of the season and it feautured the largest crowd ever @JFK with 484 people.There were many new faces from schools all across Schuylkill County.The largest attendances were from Blue Mt,Haven Minersville & Pottsville.There have been requests for music other than Hip/Hop rap.I will honor requests for other music as long as it is danced to.The only exception to this is listening songs like the Reason,etc.Be sure to support your music and I will play it. Also remember men,the girls request good songs that seem to be appreciated by all. Do not be selfesh and request songs just for your own personal gratification.This has been done quite often and because of this the ladies get their request honored most of the time and the guys do not.Also regarding the rap-hip-hop fanactics,be aure to request songs that on the Billboard Hot 100 that are in the top 15-20 except for older songs 3-12 months that are ranked in the top 10 and are on there way down. Also MTV's TRL is also a popular chart to use.I've been getting requests from guys primarily for songs that are on the Billboard Hip-Hop charts somewhere in the top 20 and have not crossed over to the Hot 100 chart.These songs have not been heard by the average person and will not be appreciated. If any song is popular enough regardless of the chart that it is on,including Techno,Country,Rock,Club,R&B or Hip-Hop/Rap it will cross over to the Hot 100 chart and will be appreciated by most of the people. We want this dance party to honor all types of music for the students from all the schools and the most important thing is that everyone has a good time.Also Do not drink and attend this dance!!!THis dance is patroled by the Pottsville Police Dept and they will be looking for anyone that shows signs of drinking. If you are suspected you be tested and if alcohol is present,you will be taken to city hall.Special thanks to all students that attended and hope to see you next week.
PS: Students throwing thrash in the pool area. Do Not Do this!!!!!Use the Garbage Cans please. Plus you must wear a swim suit when entering the pool.
PS:Parents:this dance is highly supervised by life guards,manager,assistant manager,JFK Staff,& Police.There is no smoking allowed by anyone on the premises,there is an age limit which is 12th grade and the parking lot is watched after the dance is ended.Anyone congregating in the parking lot will be asked by the Police to leave.
