02/22/07 was our Mardi Gras Party,"2 days late" This was the long awaited and highly requested Mardi Gras Dance Party which was canceled due to bad weather last week.The crowd turnout exceeded all expectations.In my opinion this was one of the greatest dance parties of all time.The fans were lined up early at the warehouse starting at 8:30 and by 9:15 it was quite apparent that this was going to be one of those record breaking crowds. We did not break the record in spite of wall to wall people but we did set a new level of of partying,dancing and crowd participation.The crowd was well behaved and the Ladies demonstrated that good old fashion charm is all it takes to get the beads.There was a dance contest with Jen taking 1st place and winning a pair of tickets for the D.O.P.E./Pan.a.ce.a contest,"appearing Live @Goodfellas 3/10/06". There was also a dance exhibition with all contestants receiving door prizes.The major event of the evening was the crowning of the Mardi Gras Queen with honors going to Crystal and 2nd/3rd place honors going to Amanda & Jess,I understand that Jess & Amanda were tied at 115 beads each except for a last minute offer by a gentlemen near the stage donating his one set of beads to break to tie and make it 115/116. 2nd/3rd places won a pair of tickets to the D.O.P.E./Pan.a.ce.There also lots Mardi Gras hats,Miller LIte slip-over,glow sticks and a green boas given away.
There were several birhdays being celebrated including Crystal,??,??,?/,etc.Special thanks to Crystal for the dance at the end,"Dirty Dancing",you did a great job we were in sync.
Dj Ray thanks you all again for certainly one of the most incredible nites of all time.
